THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF HOUSTON

The Children's Museum of Houston is a local museum in Houston dedicated to transforming communities through innovative, child-centered learning. Being born and raised in Houston I remember taking field trips and attending events at CMH which exposed my mind to education in a fun interactive way.  I had the opportunity to work at CMH for a few months as a graphic design intern in 2016. Challenged daily working through each and every project while taking direction from the Design Team to create awesome work that remained true to the CMH brand.

S.E.C.R.E.T. EXHIBITION

It all started with a scavenger hunt around the museum. From discovering clues to solving mysteries I was then commissioned to illustrate a few of the S.E.C.R.E.T. characters that would be used to build awareness on OOH signage (billboards and banners) that would be displayed throughout the museum around the city to promote the newest exhibition to the Children's Museum of Houston families. During the internship, I also had the opportunity to work on the set of a promotional S.E.C.R.E.T. commercial as prop designer and production assistant learning and observing the behind the scenes works it takes to create a video.

For the CMH commercial promoting the S.E.C.R.E.T. exhibition, I worked personally on the lower third graphics and held the position as prop manager.

SHOCKS & JOLTS

Given the task to conceptualize an exhibit sign for an upcoming installation that would highlight electromagnetism and how circuits work. While working on this project I got a chance to tap into my inner child and design a mounted sign with including elements of scientific circuits made of acrylic, stand-offs and vinyl lettering.

AMAZINGLY IMMATURE TRAVELING TRADE SHOW

I had the opportunity develop a floor plan for the traveling booth exhibition that would represent the Children's Museum of Houston. The trade show booth design included a 10’ x 10’ step and repeat banner and additional printed collateral (i.e. retractable banner, business card and flyers) that would be used to promote the newly added S.E.C.R.E.T. and Amazingly Immature exhibition around the United States.
